CCW 2024 Dubai

The most significant event of the year for any critical communications expert – Critical Communications World, CCW – is a chance to see the latest innovations in the mission-critical market.

The Airbus experts had the pleasure of welcoming visitors to their impressive booth.

Airbus presented a huge agenda and great demonstrations making our presence at CCW 2024 a standout highlight.

Venue: Dubai World Trade Centre

By Metro: Dubai's metro system offers a swift and convenient mode of transportation to Dubai WTC with its dedicated station. Trains operate frequently between 5 am and 11 pm, using the Nol Card for easy access. Just swipe your card at the platform entrance.

By Taxi: With over 5,300 RTA taxis available, getting to Dubai WTC is convenient. Most drivers are familiar with the area and drop-off points. You can also pre-book by calling +971 4 208 0808. Fares start at 5 AED, or 12 AED for pre-booked rides, with credit card payments accepted for added convenience.

By Car: Dubai WTC offers direct access from Sheikh Zayed Road for easy travel by car. Multiple car parks provide 7,530 spaces, including options for electric cars with charging stations.

Burj Khalifa: Standing at 828m, the Burj Khalifa is the world's tallest building and a must-visit attraction in Dubai. Located in the city center, it offers breathtaking views from the observation deck on levels 124 and 125. Don't miss the chance to dine at the At The Top Sky Lounge or experience a sunset at The Lounge, Burj Khalifa, the highest lounge in the world at 585m.

Palm Jumeirah: Palm Jumeirah, a large manmade island, boasts high-end hotels like Waldorf Astoria, Fairmont, One&Only, Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, and Atlantis, The Palm. Access is easy via the monorail connecting to the mainland's tram system.

Dubai Creek: Explore Dubai's rich culture at Dubai Creek, the original settlement site of the Bani Yas tribe. Enjoy a traditional abra ride for just AED 1, the best value attraction in the city. Afterward, wander through the gold, spice, and textile souks to experience Dubai like a local.

Dubai Mall: Next to the Burj Khalifa, is the world's largest shopping and entertainment destination. With over 1,200 stores, two major department stores, and hundreds of dining options, it covers over 1 million sqm. A day may not be enough to explore all the attractions, including 150 restaurants and various fun activities.

Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood: Explore Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood in Bur Dubai, one of the oldest areas with traditional windtowers and winding alleyways by Dubai Creek. Visit SMCCU for Arabic classes, heritage tours, and mosque visits. Afterwards, take an abra boat ride to the souks across the creek.

Citywide celebrations: Ensuring seamless coordination across urban festivities

Imagine, a vibrant city in early June. The sky is blue and the sun is shining softly. A fresh summer air is gently embracing the lively streets. Flowers are blooming in every corner creating a beautiful scenery. People are outside and the joy of early summer is visible on everyone’s faces. The air is full of excitement and anticipation. Music fills the air and happy people gather to celebrate.

You are organizing a big event with multiple event areas scattered across different locations. The event is attracting tens of thousands maybe even hundreds of thousands of visitors.

The event venues start to quickly fill with eager crowds and soon you have many small incidences happening around the different locations. Maybe it is a suspicious bag that needs to be checked, a missing child, someone is hurt or then just a very crowded walkway.

In these critical moments, where one event can trigger a chain reaction, it is critical to be very cautious. It is important to allocate resources in the most efficient way to assure that everything goes accordingly.

This is where Airbus solutions like Agnet can help you giving all parties seamless connectivity using for example voice, video, data and images. Letting the experts at the command room and commanders at the field to lead the scene, making informed decisions and coordinating responses efficiently.

Mobile tactical network

In mission-critical operations, fast, reliable, and available connectivity is essential whenever and wherever the operation takes place. Mobile tactical networks are a good choice, especially in areas, where coverage and capacity can be limited.

Mobile tactical networks can also be used with a satellite connection to build coverage and capacity in areas where a terrestrial network is not economically viable, such as mountainous or coastal areas.
