Elancourt, 22 June 2017 – Airbus is currently performing interoperability examinations during the first European plugtest for Mission-Critical Push To Talk (MCPTT), organized by the European Telecommunications Standard Institute. This event is decisive for Airbus to further push forward a global standard for MCPTT over LTE. As the European leader for Professional Mobile Radio, Airbus is carrying out trials which concentrate on the compatibility between LTE applications and servers of other PMR vendors. The company’s aim is to ensure that its technology works perfectly with other mission-critical solutions. The plugtest is taking place at the ETSI headquarters in Sophia Antipolis, France, and brings together various vendors of the PMR industry.
