Two Beijing airports benefit from secure communications
The Beijing Capital International Airports (PEK) switched from its old analog communications to a modern TETRA digital radio network from Airbus in 2008. This was necessary to prepare for the world’s most prestigious summer athletics event held in Beijing in 2008.
The network soon proved its value, and the completely new Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX) has also adopted its own Airbus TETRA system to help secure its daily operations.
Mission-critical networks based on TETRA technology have substantially improved the efficiency and safety of airport operations.
